TEACHERS' RESOURCES

“Fantastic! The potential for animations like this is in facilitating communication, interpretation and prediction. It is very flexible and could be used for a variety of age groups – more complicated concepts for older children.”
Cath Godfrey, Early Education Teacher

“The presentation of the animation is great. It would appeal to a large range of students.
The ability for it to engage and stimulate creativity would be very high across a variety of ages and development levels.”
Helen Raven, Kip McGrath Education Centre

“There is incredible diversity with short DVD movies like Caravan to achieve outcomes across the curriculum i.e. watching the animation (viewing), brainstorming concepts (interpretation, oral expression and strategies) and thinking about sequences. These can then be incorporated into scripting, drama, modeling and art (e.g. creating puppets and playing out the dramatic roles interpreted.  It’s a very flexible tool for teachers and one that excites the students.”
Angie Lionetto-Civa, Aranmore Primary School

Multimedia Inspiration for Creative Digital Storytelling

Thousands of Australian teachers have already used Finn Craggs' resources to generate creative outcomes in English, Literacy and Language, Media, the Arts, Visual Communication and ICT.

The packs include a DVD with an engaging animated video, onscreen and printed storyboards, a detailed Teacher Guide and a special folder on the DVD that contains hundreds of video clips and still images that can be copied to PC's or Macs.

Students are free to manipulate these pics and clips to deconstruct and reconstruct new rich texts. They can use freely available and proprietry software to edit, re-sequence and create their own written and visual texts.

In today's digital environment teachers have to be mindful of using third party content without breaching copyright laws. Finn Cragg has overcome this issue; teachers and students can freely manipulate the rich bank of pics and video without any legal or copyright concerns.
